The music industry is all about pivotal moments. Life — in general — is just a constant wave of opportunities and outcomes. When it comes to branding and positioning yourself in music, it’s all about the decisions you make day-in & day-out.

Always keep in mind — it’s not just about winning and losing when it comes to positioning your brand. It’s about making the right moves when it comes to your fans, your family and your career.

As we’ve seen with Travis Scott & AstroWorld — a tragedy on this scale should serve as a cautionary tale for all artists and music industry professionals, myself included. A big part of brand positioning in music is live performances and providing a one-of-a-kind experience.

The lesson learned is this: with every social privilege comes an assumed responsibility, a brand promise to ensure the safety of those who matter the most; the people, the fans.

With everything that’s going on in the World, music and live performances should be considered a safe space for people to congregate and take part in the human experience.

At the end of the day, a healthy sense of paranoia never hurt anybody.
